Vastu Puja & Griha Pravesh – Welcoming Divine Energy into Your New Home
Conducted by Pandit Tapan Kumar Panda |
Why is Vastu Puja & Griha Pravesh Important?
Moving into a new house is not just a physical shift—it is a spiritual beginning, a karmic reset, and a sacred invitation to peace, prosperity, and protection. According to Vedic tradition, every home is alive with cosmic energies. If these energies are not purified, balanced, and activated correctly, they may cause delays, stress, illness, or financial instability.
Vastu Puja purifies the land and structure, removing hidden doshas, curses, or negative vibrations caused by previous construction, geographical imbalance, or improper layout. Griha Pravesh Puja invokes the presence of the Vastu Purusha, the Five Elements, and the Navagrahas (Nine Planets) to bring harmony, health, and divine blessings to the new residents.
Together, these rituals make your home not just livable—but auspicious, sacred, and protected.
Who Should Perform This Puja?
Vastu Puja and Griha Pravesh Puja are strongly recommended when:
• You are entering a new home, whether rented or owned
• You are constructing or completing a new building (residential or commercial)
• You are renovating an old property or moving into an inherited space
• You have experienced frequent health, money, or legal issues in your previous residence
• You want to energise your home with divine peace, abundance, and positivity
• You wish to perform a Punya Karya (meritorious ritual) before beginning new life chapters
These pujas are especially important for spiritually sensitive families, couples planning a family, elderly parents, or those working from home.
How is Vastu Puja and Griha Pravesh Performed?
At Siddhavaani.com, Pandit Tapan Kumar Panda ji personally performs these rituals according to ancient Vedic scriptures, ensuring complete spiritual protection and benefit for the entire family.
The puja typically includes:
Sankalpa (Sacred Vow)
A spiritual intention is taken in your name, including your family members’ names, gotra, and purpose of the puja.
Vastu Devata Invocation
The Vastu Purusha Mandala is established, and sacred mantras are chanted to awaken the sleeping energy of the space and align it with cosmic order.
Navagraha Puja (Planetary Blessing)
Each of the nine planets is worshipped to ensure smooth living and protect the family from planetary doshas or Graha Peeda.
Ganapati Puja
Lord Ganesha is invoked first to remove all obstacles and grant success in every corner of the home.
Kalash Sthapana & Punyahavachanam
A copper pot (Kalash) filled with holy water is installed. This water is later sprinkled across the house to purify and energise each room.
Havan (Sacred Fire Ritual)
A sacred fire is lit, and offerings are made with Vedic mantras to invite divine forces, burn past karmas, and establish spiritual security.
Cow and Tulsi Entry (Optional)
In traditional homes, a cow and calf are welcomed into the home first. A Tulsi plant is also planted as a guardian of prosperity and health.
Vaastu Shanti and Brahmin Bhojan
A special mantra-based ritual is done to appease any Vastu defects, especially for plots with sharp angles, cuts, water defects, or previous spiritual disturbances. Feeding the Brahmins completes the puja as per dharma.
Mangala Aarti and Prasad Distribution
The puja ends with an Aarti and blessings. You and your family receive Prasad, sanctified rice, raksha thread, and instructions on maintaining positivity in the home.
When is the Best Time for Griha Pravesh?
The most auspicious muhurta for Griha Pravesh is selected based on your horoscope, nakshatra, and lunar calendar. Traditionally, months like Magha, Phalguna, Vaishakha, and Jyeshtha are ideal. We strictly avoid performing this puja during Ashadha, Shraavana, Bhadrapada, and Paush, as these months are spiritually sensitive.
The day and time are carefully chosen to avoid Rahu Kaal, Gulika Kaal, and other inauspicious timings.
At Siddhavaani, we offer a free consultation to calculate the best date and time for your Griha Pravesh ceremony.
